Your privacy is paramount. ScribeOS is built as a local-first writer's studio. We believe your creative work belongs to you, and you alone.

1. Data Collection & Storage

ScribeOS does not collect, store, or transmit your writing, ideas, or personal data to any external servers. All data, including your manuscripts, outlines, project goals, and media associations, is stored exclusively on your device within a local SQLite database.

2. Permissions

To provide core functionality, the app may request the following permissions:

Storage: To allow you to import/export project files (e.g., .docx, .md, .txt) and store mood board images.
Media/Audio: To enable voice memo recording for Flytrap ideas.
Vibration: To provide haptic feedback for your writing milestones and gamification achievements.

3. Cloud Sync & Third Parties

ScribeOS does not currently employ cloud sync. If you choose to enable cloud backup services in the future, that data handling will be subject to those providers' policies. We do not share your data with third-party advertisers or analytics platforms.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology or legal obligations. We will notify you of any significant changes within the app.
